The Diprobase range
For many people with eczema, an emollient cream is the right choice. Although Diprobase Cream (like all cream emollients) is not as long-lasting or simple as Diprobase Ointment, it is less greasy. So you may prefer to use Diprobase Cream, particularly during the day.
Diprobase Cream has been soothing, healing and protecting the nation's sore, dry skin for over 25 years and is available in two different pack sizes:
- A large 500g pump dispenser – a convenient size for 'at home' use
- A 50g tube – a convenient size when away from home
Why not talk to your healthcare team about having a combination of different pack sizes so that you can make your daily emollient routine fit in with your lifestyle.
You may not know this, but Diprobase Cream can be used:

As a soap substitute
All ointments provide longer lasting skin hydration than creams, and Diprobase Ointment is no exception. If your eczema is moderate to severe, you might find the benefits of using an ointment outweighs its greasiness, particularly at night when you don't need to worry about having sticky skin.
