For many people with eczema, an emollient cream is the right choice. Although Diprobase Cream (like all cream emollients)
is not as long lasting or pure as Diprobase Ointment, it is less greasy. So you may prefer to use Diprobase Cream,
particularly during the day.
Diprobase Cream has been soothing, healing and protecting the nation’s sore skin for over 25 years and is available
in two different sizes:
- A large 500g pump dispenser – a convenient size for 'At home' use
- A 50g tube – a handy size for ‘Out and about’ use
Why not talk to your healthcare team about having a combination of different pack sizes so that you can make your daily
emollient routine fit in with your lifestyle.

All ointments provide longer lasting skin hydration than creams, and Diprobase Ointment is no exception. If your eczema is moderate to
severe, you might find the benefits of using an ointment outweighs its greasiness, particularly at night when you don't need
to worry about having sticky skin.
Safety notice
Ointment emollients are made of paraffin which is highly flammable. So don't smoke when you are using an ointment and stay away from naked flames. Why not visit the National Patient Safety Agency website to read their patient leaflet and find out more?

Diprobath is a bath additive designed to help people with eczema avoid using cosmetic soaps and detergents which can irritate and damage sore skin. In fact, soaking in a Dipro-bath is a highly effective way to soothe and moisturise your sore skin. You can also put Diprobath on a sponge or flannel and use it in the shower. But take care as Diprobath, like all bath additives, can make the bath slippery.
Safety notice
Take care when using bath additives as they can make the bath quite slippy.
Using Diprobath is a great way to:
